{It's A New Beginning Y'all}

  It's a tad late to wish a  Happy New Year but I sure hope that it's kicked off good for everyone. Ours kicked off with being so THANKFUL for what God has done and is doing. As I told my family as we were reminiscing over 2024, "There is a lot of 2024 I DO NOT WANT A RE-DO but the Lord has surely taught me so very much. I am truly thankful for each breath, each day, family and close friends. We had our three youngest grands for New Years Eve. We had a great time and the girls enjoyed a little fishing, bonfire with their great-grandfather and roasting marshmallows. Their great-grandfather will be 90 years old next month. As most of you know I do a monthly focus board and this makes my 3rd or 4th year. I've lost count. Only fitting that New Beginnings would be my focus for January. This has been so good for me as it sits on my kitchen counter so I can see it daily. Wonderful way to focus and quote God's Word daily.  I felt up to hosting a lunch and movie day with ...

{Good Times With Family}

I hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Our family surely enjoyed our day with extended family. We always have MORE than you could imagine to eat and such a great time together.  Granddaughter Mallory turned 14 on Nov. 23rd so we celebrated her a few days before Thanksgiving with cake and ice cream. She had a great birthday. She went to see The Christmas Carol at the Alhambra Dinner Theatre and loved it.   We snapped a few pictures on Thanksgiving day and as always, I am so proud of my family.  I did take a little time for "tea time" and whipped up a pineapple, mango, and cinnamon spice loaded tea. YUM! We loaded up Thanksgiving afternoon and went with the guys to our hunting grounds and done a little hunting, eating out and shopping. My oldest daughter didn't go as my grandson had a football game. Which, she doesn't hunt either but hates being left out so.... She cloned herself in our picture. LOL! Aren't these shoes the cutest? I found these at TJ Maxx...

{Happy Thanksgiving}

  I want to wish all my blogging friends a very Happy Thanksgiving. I hope that you give Thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ for His many blessings in your life. I am reminded today of a well known song, Count Your Blessings, Name them one by one, Count your blessings see what God has done, Count your blessings, Name them one by one...Count your many blessings see what God has done.  See you all after Thanksgiving.  Hugs and blessings, Cindy I have disabled comments this week.  ENJOY the FESTIVITIES.

{Hunting, Shopping, and Christmas Decor} Fun times!

I Hope you've all had a great weekend. I sure have. I had a short weekend with my youngest daughter and her two girls hunting, shopping and drinking coffee but it was so nice for a quick getaway. Always good when time is spent with family.  This little thing is a hot mess. She finds this spot in Belk's and says, "take my picture Nana" . Mercy, mercy.  I did find me a pair of comfortable cute booties. YAY! The girl's daddy carried them on their first hunt to let them sit to see how they would do.  This one decided she would pose for the camera. But, she sorta gave up the idea of looking for a deer soon. I came back home from a short weekend hunting trip with what seemed like I had one hundred things I needed to do, you know, wash the hunting clothes, unload the dish washer, yada, yada, yada. But, I had not taken the time to go to the grocery store and wanted something hot and filling to eat. THEN I REMEMBERED! I had made homemade pot pies a few months back and dec...

{It's All The Little Things That Make Me Smile}

  Hello everyone on this Sunday evening. Wanted to pop in and say, "It will take me two weeks or more to get used to the time change".  Anyone else? We have had two days of rain, light winds and colder weather in our neck of the woods. One good reason to stay home and start my Christmas decor but I did stop long enough to make a pot of Nanny Conner's Corn and Chicken chowder. Warmed my heart for sure and was surely good.  I put up a little cute girly Christmas tree for the youngest grandgirls in the their play room.  It sure doesn't take much to make those sweet littles happy.  My oldest granddaughter went to the annual Fall Ball. She was just stunning.  My favorite grandson looked so nice too.  I decided to drag out the old singer and make a table runner for my Christmas table. I haven't brought her out in a while but she still works well.  I had something in mind for my centerpiece for my dining table so while browsing Dollar General or it might...
