{Happy Resurrection Day}

I hope that you all have enjoyed this beautiful Easter Sunday. He is risen! I wanted to end the month of March in sharing a few of my favorite photos from the month.  Celebrated my favorite grandsons birthday. Conner is 18 now!  Our beautiful Mallory Grace all decked out for the prom. The youngest grands (sisters) were flower girls in their uncle's wedding. The oldest one was in her element of dress up. The younger one, not so much. THAT HAIR BAND ITCHED HER HEAD she said!  I purchased a new pair of wedges that I love. I am always skeptical about ordering shoes or clothing but read the reviews on Amazon and went for it. Love the color and the style.  The youngest grand loves to take selfies and play with the filters.  Marty colored Easter eggs. He always colors at least a dozen every year. He always says he's doing it for the grands but I know he does it because of the inner child in him! LOL! I went with the little ones to Disney on Ice and we had the best time. I think I enjo

Anyone else there with me? LOL!

Good Sunday afternoon everyone. I hope that your week has been great. I've had a productive week so it's always good to chill out on Sunday after church with the family.

After our usual Sunday Dinner my soninlove David carried us for a ride on the old dirt roads.  It was nice as it was far too hot to do our usual outside sitting by the pond.

My granddaughter Kyleigh started back to school this past Monday as she is a week later going to school than her sister. She goes to a private school but sadly, several of her classmates has covid so now she's out this next week.  It's just so sad that we are still still experiencing the battle of Covid but I know this is the norm for life on this earth.

Several of my friends met up on the mats this week and we had a great time. I think we laugh more than we do anything, at each other and ourselves but what would we do without laughter in this world in which we live?

We celebrated my friend Mary's 81st birthday on the mats. Miss Mary does weight lifting training and competitions and has won several in her division. She is such a precious lady and full of energy. I told her that I wanted to be just like her when I grow up. She said, "Well, I am still not sure what I want to be when I grow up". LOL!

I made a batch of pork fingers in my air fryer one afternoon last week and oh my mercy! They were so good and juicy. I know that I have told y'all before but...I do enjoy using my air fryer.

I hope that you all have a great week and that the Lord blesses you beyond your beyond.

  1. That last quote is so true...God is good...All the time, God is good! We say that every Sunday morning in the beginning of our service. I love your family photo...all of you in that truck or whatever it was? Looks like a lot of fun! And then you and all those sweet ladies laughing and exercising and having a good time! What fun! You make me smile! Oh, I am sorry that covid has delayed school for your sweet grandgirl. This is just crazy. Praying it will go away and stay away for good, in Jesus' Name!! Those pork fingers look good. You do make the best stuff. Thanks for sharing and hope you have a blessed and beautiful week all week long!

  2. I don't know about my friends, but I am pretty forgetful. 😏 Awww...gotta love kids who want to be teachers when they grow up. A worthy calling to be sure when teaching truth and nothing less. Nice to be with family doing fun things. Have a good week!

  3. Too bad Kyleigh has to miss school because of classmates that have the dreaded Covid. It sure is a plague. I love that picture of a bunch of you taking a Sunday drive around just for fun. Might as well enjoy the summer even if it is hot. I must say though that it's really bothered me this year. I'm looking forward to Fall and cooler weather. Wearing a cardigan and jeans again.
    It took a while until I really used my air fryer but now I like it. Middle son made some awesome jalapeno poppers in it on Saturday and he and I feasted ( no one else likes spicy food).
    Have a wonderful week!!

    1. Oh my mercy, I haven't tried the poppers yet and I have some jalapeno's about ready for harvest. We have fried and grilled poppers but excited to try them in air fryer. YES, bring on the cooler weather.

  5. My memory is also terrible these days! A few weeks ago, I took my parents' car out for a drive and forgot to close the rear windows...and of course, it seems like all the neighbours noticed and alerted my parents. LOL.

    Forgive my ignorance, but how does an air fryer work? You fry things without using oil?

    1. LOL Margie! Parent's notice everything! Yes girl...google air fryer. So much better for you but I've not cooked anything that I did not like! Now some things weren't my favorite as with anything, it's trial and error.

  6. We sure do need laughter with our friends, Cindy! You all look fabulous, too, and Mary is an inspiration! That’s too bad about Kyleigh out for a week. That Covid is here to stay. Your pork fingers look so tasty. I hope you have a joyous week, Cindy!

  7. Sounds like a busy week but one that I am sure you enjoyed so much. My grands have been in school for right at two, maybe three weeks now. Crazy. Here in Nashville when I was in school we went to school the week after Labor Day and then that next week we had a day off for Fair Day. But, we would go into June due to snow days but now they get out before the end of May. Hoping you have a great week.

  8. Oh yes, the coffee maker! My hubby and I were at the antique store, and I saw my old Cornflower blue stove top coffee maker for sale. It was almost $70! I have a rice maker for fluffy white or brown rice. Mexican rice has to be done on the stove. I should not be thinking about food late at night! Enjoy your week too Cindy!

  12. Laughter with family and friends is wonderful ...

    I do like the photograph of Kyleigh, and who knows she may well become a teacher in future years :)

    Enjoy these last August days and my good wishes for a happy September.

  13. I love the meme at the end. God surely is so good to all of us. I think I am finally caught up on your blog posts. I am so aggravated that I no longer get them in my email. I don't know how to fix the problem and hope I can remember to come by to read more often. I know a lot of readers are no longer getting my posts, either, and I miss their comments. Such is life in this crazy world. God bless you, sweet friend.

Hiding the Ugly Hot Water Heater

 I shared that I wanted to hide my ugly hot water heater in my laundry room with you a few weeks ago. It just stuck out like a sore thumb. But after all it is a hot water heater right? So my man took a piece of wood (not real wood) but it worked and built a frame for me. So now to see if it would fit and it did. I painted it white and did not like the texture it had even after two coats of white. (rule of thumb...you get what you pay for and the wood was cheap) But I wasn't going to let it whip me!  Found some contact paper at Walmart in the gray and white. Covered the front with the contact paper and loved the look. The top was covered with a piece of painted wood as well and worked perfect to place this on top... And this.... Added a clothes basket in the corner and here was the top.... Yep, no longer an eye sore to me! Went perfect with my gray walls and gray and white floor. Remember the wood tray I bought at a yard

{Happy 46th Wedding Anniversary To Us}

  Happy October everyone! I wanted to pop in today and share a few pictures. Marty and I celebrated our 46th wedding anniversary on September 23.  Oh it seems so long ago that we said "I Do". We started dating when I was 16. Married at 18 and began a family at 20. Needless to say we have surely grown up together. Praise the Lord that we are growing "Older" together.  We decided since it had been about 8-9 years since we had been to Savannah, Ga. that we would take a weekend there and just enjoy a scenic luncheon cruise.  We enjoyed walking River street and sightseeing, shopping and eating of course! It was a nice get away and perfect for us as we are simply two imperfect people that fit perfectly together.  I did spot Santa while in Savannah though! YES, I love Christmas so I had to stop at several Christmas shops! We've had outings that have kept us quite busy and we have surely been blessed to be able to attend our grands functions and our little outings toget

{SON-Flowers}

Don't you just love sunflowers? When I think about sunflowers I think of two things. My motherinlove who loved sunflowers and Fall. I came across a devotional written by Julia Bettencourt on sunflowers and thought it so appropriate for today as I wanted to share my sunflowers with you. Here's a few lessons we can learn from the sunflower.    Sunflowers Track The Sun.   Most plants are attracted to light but the flowering head of the sunflower actually tracks the sun following it's path and moving toward where it is in the sky all during the day. I read somewhere that sunflowers track the sun when they are in bud stage. Isn't that how it usually goes for us as Christians? When we first come to know the Lord, we get excited about knowing all about Him and living for Him, but after awhile we sometimes grow a little preoccupied with other things and get our eyes off of the Lord.   Wouldn't it be great if as a Christian we'd track th
