{It's A New Beginning Y'all}

  It's a tad late to wish a  Happy New Year but I sure hope that it's kicked off good for everyone. Ours kicked off with being so THANKFUL for what God has done and is doing. As I told my family as we were reminiscing over 2024, "There is a lot of 2024 I DO NOT WANT A RE-DO but the Lord has surely taught me so very much. I am truly thankful for each breath, each day, family and close friends. We had our three youngest grands for New Years Eve. We had a great time and the girls enjoyed a little fishing, bonfire with their great-grandfather and roasting marshmallows. Their great-grandfather will be 90 years old next month. As most of you know I do a monthly focus board and this makes my 3rd or 4th year. I've lost count. Only fitting that New Beginnings would be my focus for January. This has been so good for me as it sits on my kitchen counter so I can see it daily. Wonderful way to focus and quote God's Word daily.  I felt up to hosting a lunch and movie day with ...

{Show and Tell Sunday}

Winding down on this Sunday coolish afternoon and wanted to share a few goodies I found this week.  Well, I just didn't find Marty as I've had him for years but we did go out on a day date one day this week and as always our outing was nice with perfect weather to stroll around. In the garden department at Walmart I spotted these adorable planters with the price tag of $1.00!  Though I have tons of planters I couldn't help but bring home a few! Already have seedlings going in three of those cute pots.  Then on another day I had another date with two friends from elementary school. We always have the best time together as we try to meet at least once a month. Sometimes we gather at one of our homes for a light lunch and LOTS of talking and laughter. Other times we go out to eat and shopping. We stop at a variety of places and found a thrift store of course along the way. I just love this wooden bowl with plates. I will use use the bowl for many things but I see a salad lun...

{It's A Brand New Week}

  Hope this finds you all doing wonderful on this lovely Sunday afternoon. I wanted to pop in and share just a few pictures. I love my little pillows that I found at Walmart for my swing. I've been taking advantage of "swinging" in my new swing my FIL build. I love it that he made me a cup holder on the sides to hold my drink. The weather has been nice and I've been able to sit on the front porch and swing till my heart is content. My favorite grandson Conner (only grandson) went to the Junior prom with his girl. She attends a private Christian school and they had such a lovely time. Isn't her dress just so pretty?  Of course mom and dad couldn't get left out of a picture. My daughter Kristy experienced a few emotions with her son going to his first prom. Oh those FIRSTS! I just love the green bunnies and I see different friends using them in their Easter decor. I had looked at several places before Easter and could not find any or either they had sold out. I ...

{Birthday Celebrations, Soccer Game and More}

Happy Sunday afternoon y'all! Winding it down after a wonderful day of birthday celebrations.   Our lovely granddaughter Raygen turned 19 years old day. It just seemed like yesterday that I was rocking her and singing to her. She is such a lovely young Christian woman that loves Jesus, her family and friends deeply. She's talented and the Lord has gifted her with a beautiful singing voice, a love to play piano, guitar and write some of her own songs. She blesses us with singing on our praise and worship team at church and if you want to see me cry UGLY, then let her get up there and sing solo! Lordy, this nana's heart just soars with joy! She surely has made us proud and we are praying for blessings to abound her in life.  We also celebrated my soninlove's birthday as his special day was April 11th. David is such a good sport to go along with whatever I ask him to do and didn't hesitate putting on his birthday hat. Of course, I do feed him Sunday dinner each week! L...

{Happy Easter}

Happy Resurrection Day! I hope that you've all had a wonderful Easter today.  We had such a wonderful Easter service at church this morning. I am so thankful that my family worship together at the same church as it sure makes it all the more sweeter.   Our sweet granddaughter Adalynn (Ada) turned seven today as well so birthday celebration came after our Sunday dinner followed by a big Conner family egg hunt. It's been a busy day but a wonderful day. Marty and I had a little Easter fun of our own yesterday decorating eggs. Who said that Easter fun is just for kids? LOL!  I attended a lovely bridal shower for my (red headed niece) as I call her over the weekend and everything was so pretty. (picture on left I am with one of my sisters) We celebrated Brittany with a wonderful brunch and just a sweet time of fellowship.  I wanted to share with you a recipe for Chicken breast in the air fryer. I enjoy using my air fryer and this recipe is for sure a keeper.  Ai...

{Welcome To April}

  It's a brand new month already in the new year and it seems that January through March has just flown by. We kicked off the new month with a Conner reunion today and I must say that the weather was absolutely beautiful for a big gathering. My FIL has only two siblings left so he was happy to have them both with him today. He's 88. He has one older sister and one younger sister left in his family. He truly felt blessed today.  The three youngest grands came to spend the day with me on on Friday. I kept them busy as we attempted to TRY and organize my She-Shed. Well, not much organizing but they had fun playing. Let's just say that not much organizing was done but at least I can walk in there now! LOL!  Organizing will have to wait but what fun the little's did have in Nana's She-Shed. Memories are much better than perfection to me.  My granddaughter Kyleigh was going to a Play that night with family friends so she asked me if I would put just a tad of makeup ...
