I sure hope that your May has kicked off to a good start. The heat is settling in quick around our parts. We've kicked off May with watching our softball girls win the District. Next week we start another round of ball. It's so much fun to watch these girls and especially our girl, Mallory. She plays centerfield. We were so proud of both teams that played against each other. They all, hand in hand gathered together as one of our girls prayed for the game and also for one of our young men that was in a horrific car accident and fighting. His name is Kaden if you can think to lift him up to our Lord. I had the opportunity recently to speak to a group of women at a ladies luncheon event at a local church. Oh we had so much fun. I wished I had gotten pictures of the beautiful decorations. We had a TEA PARTY and we each kept the cup that we drank out of it. Isn't she just lovely? Easter has come and gone but we sure have a great time with family. We gather each...
Well our February Florida weather is cool in the mornings, warm during the day and cool at night. Which to be honest, suits me! But, we can't have perfect weather that suits us all can we?
This weather has had me in the baking mode though. I saved a few apples from our mountain trip and baked an apple bundt cake to freeze for a Sunday dinner sweet.
Decided to whip up a batch of Kitty's shortbread spritz cookies. They weren't as pretty as hers but oh they would melt in your mouth. Be sure to pop over to see her recipe.

I had some left over deer venison and decided to make a Venison and Penne Casserole. Was a hit with Marty and his dad. But, we love all things venison around her neck of the woods.
One day I had some broccoli that was going to go bad if not used so whipped up a little comfort soup. Broccoli and shedder cheese soup.
My oldest granddaughter Raygen bought herself a new ride. Well, it's not new but new to her. This was her first vehicle that she was able to purchase on her own. So proud of this young woman!
The youngest granddaughter's came to stay with us for a couple of days and spend the night. What fun we had from crafting, painting, dress-up, designing, baking, fishing, catching minnows from the pond to cooking breakfast. These girls will keep you young and tired! LOL! What fun we sure had. My youngest granddaughter Annaleigh carries her little Psalms/Proverbs bible with her in her little overnight bag so we read a few verses from both books with her. So precious to see my grands loving the Word of God.
Marty and I had an early afternoon date and the drive was less than 30 minutes from our home. We pass by this diner going and coming from hunting camp in Ga and have never had the opportunity to stop. The restaurant is actually a cafeteria of an old school. The funny thing was as soon as we stepped out of our vehicle and I spotted the old auditorium memories came flooding back from my cheerleading days. I had cheered at this same school many times for away games. Crazy how memories will once again pop into our minds.
Spent one day making my babies little treats for Valentine's day. I will be out of pocket on Valentine's Day with a procedure so knew I needed to get this done early. Nothing serious but pray the procedure goes well and all is good. My girls and older grandgirls will get homemade soaps. One side of the soap is exfoliating and the other side is soothing. Goat milk with pink Himalayan salt, Rosemary and Lavender. Oh they smell so good! Forgot to make myself one though. OOPS! Made the grandson and the little grands white and milk chocolate heart shaped lollypops. I hope they enjoy as it all was made with much love and joy.
I will leave you with this little saying. Spoke volumes to me.

We too enjoy hosting for sleepovers the grandgirls that live near us, now ages 8 and 12. / We also have Florida in common. Our family lived in Florida for 40 years, in six towns/cities all south of Orlando and on the coasts.
