{May Has Arrived}

  I sure hope that your May has kicked off to a good start. The heat is settling in quick around our parts.  We've kicked off May with watching our softball girls win the District. Next week we start another round of ball. It's so much fun to watch these girls and especially our girl, Mallory. She plays centerfield.  We were so proud of both teams that played against each other. They all, hand in hand gathered together as one of our girls prayed for the game and also for one of our young men that was in a horrific car accident and fighting. His name is Kaden if you can think to lift him up to our Lord.  I had the opportunity recently to speak to a group of women at a ladies luncheon event at a local church. Oh we had so much fun. I wished I had gotten pictures of the beautiful decorations. We had a TEA PARTY and we each kept the cup that we drank out of it.  Isn't she just lovely? Easter has come and gone but we sure have a great time with family. We gather each...

{Baking, Family, Friends and Fun}

Oh my! It's been a month since I have blogged. I honestly have found it hard to keep up but I am blaming on family time! What better explanation could I have huh? Well, maybe BAKING!

Vanilla cake with chocolate sauce filling and cool whip with powdered sugar icing topped with sprinkles.
Chocolate with fresh strawberry filling with buttercream frosting and a touch of candy pearls.

Butter cake with buttercream icing and chocolate sauce.

There has been a whole lot of baking going on at my house. I get in these moods at times. Family & friends have enjoyed my gifts of love.

My daughter Melissa and I carried my granddaughter Kyleigh and one of her sweet friends to see Snow White. We had such a fun time with the girls.

Our family enjoyed watching our granddaughter Adalynn in her first cheer competition. Her team won 1st place.

Our granddaughter Mallory attended her Junior prom and had the best time. I've decided that blue is her color!

I thought this was the cutest picture. She plays softball for the high school so this was fitting for her.

I still remember the prom days. So much fun.

My friends of many, many years that try to get together once a month had a baking party. YES, more baking but what fun, laughter and yumminess we had.
Butter horns, fresh bread and cinnamon rolls hit the spot.

Our sweet granddaughter Adalynn will be celebrating her 9th birthday Wednesday so we celebrated today.

AND YES, that meant more cakes!

So now to enjoy a cup of goodness to my soul in my new sweet bunny mug and prop my feet up! Life has been busy but so thankful to do this thing we call life here on earth. God has surely blessed me with far more than I deserve.

I loved this little self-care list so wanted to share.

 This sounds like a good self-care list to adopt.
I hope that you all have a wonderful week and a beautiful Easter. HE IS RISEN!

Hugs and blessings, Cindy

    1. Well would you believe that I do not eat or taste of the majority that I bake? I do not have a sweet tooth but mercy don't give me pizza, or fried chicken because I can do some eating then. LOL!

  16. Hi Cindy, my mouth is watering. Wow. I am so glad I found you ❤️ We used to follow each other's blogs years ago when I was at Linda's Peaceful Place. I had no computer for over 7 years and lost access to my old blog due to the amount of time that had elapsed. I just started a new blog at the end of March...Linda's Relaxing Lair. I am very happy to have found you again 💕 😊

Hiding the Ugly Hot Water Heater

 I shared that I wanted to hide my ugly hot water heater in my laundry room with you a few weeks ago. It just stuck out like a sore thumb. But after all it is a hot water heater right? So my man took a piece of wood (not real wood) but it worked and built a frame for me. So now to see if it would fit and it did. I painted it white and did not like the texture it had even after two coats of white. (rule of thumb...you get what you pay for and the wood was cheap) But I wasn't going to let it whip me!  Found some contact paper at Walmart in the gray and white. Covered the front with the contact paper and loved the look. The top was covered with a piece of painted wood as well and worked perfect to place this on top... And this.... Added a clothes basket in the corner and here was the top.... Yep, no longer an eye sore to me! Went perfect with my gray walls and gray and white floor. Remember the wood tray I bought at a...

{March Is Underway}

  Welcome to March! The little grands and I kicked off March with a sleepover at Nana's house. They are so much fun and so energetic. COFFEE has earned my love forever for sure! LOL!  We started out with a sack lunch from Burger King (their favorite) and headed to a cute little park that is only about 2 miles from where I live. The girls has so much fun. The girls put in for Nana to ride the horsey. Well, y'all know I had to show those littles that Nana still can do that!!! Two of the girls wanted to play with the old Halloween wigs but the youngest one opted out. She said it made her head itch. LOL!  We had a tea party for breakfast. Our tea party consisted of smoked sausage, peaches and chocolate chip cookies. Yummy to my tummy the youngest one said! I finally got around to making myself a healthy fruity Icee. I made the girls snow cones out of the same healthy fruits. Guess I needed too so they wouldn't be so hyped up from all the cookies when returning home. Hee-hee!...

{It's Been A Hot Minute Y'all}

  Well, it's not HOT in my neck of the woods in temperature (not today anyway) but it's sure been a HOT minute since I last posted. For that I am so sorry but it seems my life has been consumed with doctor appointments, tests, and MORE tests, biopsies, surgery and so much more. One day at a time sweet Jesus is all that any of us can ask for. Wanted to pop in on this beautiful Sunday afternoon to share a little about what I've been up too.  Marty and I enjoyed a weekend at the beach before I had breast cancer surgery and took advantage of the time I had in between so many doctor appointments and testing. It was sure a good little getaway.  We celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary in September. WOW! Just babies! LOL! We were high school sweethearts. Started dating at age 16. Married at age 18 and started a family at age 20.  We celebrated Marty's birthday in October. He says that he's feeling his age these days. LOL! He still works 4 days a week and has a long commu...
