{May Has Arrived}

  I sure hope that your May has kicked off to a good start. The heat is settling in quick around our parts.  We've kicked off May with watching our softball girls win the District. Next week we start another round of ball. It's so much fun to watch these girls and especially our girl, Mallory. She plays centerfield.  We were so proud of both teams that played against each other. They all, hand in hand gathered together as one of our girls prayed for the game and also for one of our young men that was in a horrific car accident and fighting. His name is Kaden if you can think to lift him up to our Lord.  I had the opportunity recently to speak to a group of women at a ladies luncheon event at a local church. Oh we had so much fun. I wished I had gotten pictures of the beautiful decorations. We had a TEA PARTY and we each kept the cup that we drank out of it.  Isn't she just lovely? Easter has come and gone but we sure have a great time with family. We gather each...

FRIDAY FAVORITES

Love me some Friday Favs.....With so much talent out there it is hard to pick just a few things each week to show...Hope you enjoy my favs for this week.

I spotted this and thought it was the cutest idea! It is called a School Supply Caddy but would be a great idea for those that love to do crafts or for the kids/grandkids play room.

LOVE this idea! A Table from pallet's

Now I just want you to look at this! A Santa hat valance!

You have got to take the time to look at this site. It has the cutest ideas for Christmas gifts for friends with sayings!

And awe for the sewer's! Fabric scrap bunting ideas!

I made this Mexican Casserole about a week ago. It was GREAT! The only thing I done different was I added some black beans and saved the chips and we crushed them on our casserole after it was cooked. Of course I did add a dash of hot sauce and sour cream to mine! GREAT

Oh I love this tablescape! Aren't the dishes just lovely?

  2. Love the Friday Favorites today. My favorite might be the pallet table. I saw a brand new pallet in the dumpster the other day, and I wanted it so bad. But I was in my car and didn't think it would fit in there even if I could dig it out.

  3. Fabric Bunting and Pallet Shelf are my faves of your faves this week. My bedroom is in a country theme with brick reds and country blues. Unfortunately, my breaker box is on the bedroom wall in a weird place. That pallet shelf would be perfect to cover it. Need to check into that.
    Have a blessed weekend.

  4. Someone has Christmas on her brain! :) I love the caddy idea and that would be easy to set up pretty quickly. I may have to make one next time my nephew is over. He is the only one who still likes to craft with me. :)

Hiding the Ugly Hot Water Heater

 I shared that I wanted to hide my ugly hot water heater in my laundry room with you a few weeks ago. It just stuck out like a sore thumb. But after all it is a hot water heater right? So my man took a piece of wood (not real wood) but it worked and built a frame for me. So now to see if it would fit and it did. I painted it white and did not like the texture it had even after two coats of white. (rule of thumb...you get what you pay for and the wood was cheap) But I wasn't going to let it whip me!  Found some contact paper at Walmart in the gray and white. Covered the front with the contact paper and loved the look. The top was covered with a piece of painted wood as well and worked perfect to place this on top... And this.... Added a clothes basket in the corner and here was the top.... Yep, no longer an eye sore to me! Went perfect with my gray walls and gray and white floor. Remember the wood tray I bought at a...

{March Is Underway}

  Welcome to March! The little grands and I kicked off March with a sleepover at Nana's house. They are so much fun and so energetic. COFFEE has earned my love forever for sure! LOL!  We started out with a sack lunch from Burger King (their favorite) and headed to a cute little park that is only about 2 miles from where I live. The girls has so much fun. The girls put in for Nana to ride the horsey. Well, y'all know I had to show those littles that Nana still can do that!!! Two of the girls wanted to play with the old Halloween wigs but the youngest one opted out. She said it made her head itch. LOL!  We had a tea party for breakfast. Our tea party consisted of smoked sausage, peaches and chocolate chip cookies. Yummy to my tummy the youngest one said! I finally got around to making myself a healthy fruity Icee. I made the girls snow cones out of the same healthy fruits. Guess I needed too so they wouldn't be so hyped up from all the cookies when returning home. Hee-hee!...

{SON-Flowers}

Don't you just love sunflowers? When I think about sunflowers I think of two things. My motherinlove who loved sunflowers and Fall. I came across a devotional written by Julia Bettencourt on sunflowers and thought it so appropriate for today as I wanted to share my sunflowers with you. Here's a few lessons we can learn from the sunflower.    Sunflowers Track The Sun.   Most plants are attracted to light but the flowering head of the sunflower actually tracks the sun following it's path and moving toward where it is in the sky all during the day. I read somewhere that sunflowers track the sun when they are in bud stage. Isn't that how it usually goes for us as Christians? When we first come to know the Lord, we get excited about knowing all about Him and living for Him, but after awhile we sometimes grow a little preoccupied with other things and get our eyes off of the Lord.   Wouldn't it be great if as a Christian we'd track th...
