{May Has Arrived}

  I sure hope that your May has kicked off to a good start. The heat is settling in quick around our parts.  We've kicked off May with watching our softball girls win the District. Next week we start another round of ball. It's so much fun to watch these girls and especially our girl, Mallory. She plays centerfield.  We were so proud of both teams that played against each other. They all, hand in hand gathered together as one of our girls prayed for the game and also for one of our young men that was in a horrific car accident and fighting. His name is Kaden if you can think to lift him up to our Lord.  I had the opportunity recently to speak to a group of women at a ladies luncheon event at a local church. Oh we had so much fun. I wished I had gotten pictures of the beautiful decorations. We had a TEA PARTY and we each kept the cup that we drank out of it.  Isn't she just lovely? Easter has come and gone but we sure have a great time with family. We gather each...

{Happy New Year Everyone}

Well the old saying, "Time waits on NO ONE" is surely true! It was January 2019 just last week it seemed and here it is a year later. I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas season and that your New Year has gotten off to a good beginning for you. We surely had a wonderful holiday season. I have so many pictures but will share just a few of my favorites.

 We love our PJ's and at Christmas us girls and the grands all wear our PJ's. I had a friend do the design on our shirts for us all and they turned out so adorable. But I am huge SUCKER for Red trucks!

 These kiddos bring me so much joy. Every year I buy the kids matching PJ's and sometimes it has been hard to get them all to match with so many different sizes. But once again, it all worked out.

I enjoyed my tablescape this season. Hated to put it all away. No worries though...I've already started on another tablescape. LOL!

 Yes I do love me a little red truck.

 Even my grandbabies had a little Christmas tablescape.

 Speaking of red trucks...

I got another Red Truck to play with for Christmas. LOVE IT!

We celebrate Christmas Eve at my FIL home and have Santa come with gifts for the kids. It is so much fun to watch the little ones as their faces light up when they see him coming.
Even us BIG kids love Santa.

One of the favs of the kids was the Cocoa bar.
 Marshmallows went into the larger bowl and chocolate chips in the smaller bowl.

 And did I ever make some good, rich, creamy cocoa! Remember when I shared about having Belgium hot chocolate in NYC while the kids ice skated?  That was the best hot chocolate ever. So I decided to make our family some Belgium hot chocolate.

It was soooooo good! I found a recipe and I tweaked it just a tad and well....it was a winner for us all!

We made so many wonderful memories during the Christmas season. We ended 2019  with our children and grandchildren with a big pot of chili, hot dogs, all the fixings along with roasting s'mores.  God has been so good to us and continually amazes me with His love, mercy and grace. So undeserving but yet...HE STILL LOVES US!

We wish you all a very blessed and wonderful New Year. May you be blessed more than you could ever imagine.

Hugs and blessings, Cindy

    I always do the pjs for the kids (big and little, too). Lately, Target has been doing family pjs and on the Black Friday weekend-they were $5! They are usually $29! Crazy and I was able to get all the sizes I needed (12 pair). lol

    Hope you have a great Sunday- xo Diana

    1. Girl I bought 6 pair and 4 tops! I need to wait till Black Friday I guess to hunt. I did find the pj bottoms in the right sizes at Target. Found the tops elsewhere and then had the logo put on them. Was an easy fix but really wished I could have found the whole sets in the sizes I needed. Thinking ahead now! LOL!

Hiding the Ugly Hot Water Heater

 I shared that I wanted to hide my ugly hot water heater in my laundry room with you a few weeks ago. It just stuck out like a sore thumb. But after all it is a hot water heater right? So my man took a piece of wood (not real wood) but it worked and built a frame for me. So now to see if it would fit and it did. I painted it white and did not like the texture it had even after two coats of white. (rule of thumb...you get what you pay for and the wood was cheap) But I wasn't going to let it whip me!  Found some contact paper at Walmart in the gray and white. Covered the front with the contact paper and loved the look. The top was covered with a piece of painted wood as well and worked perfect to place this on top... And this.... Added a clothes basket in the corner and here was the top.... Yep, no longer an eye sore to me! Went perfect with my gray walls and gray and white floor. Remember the wood tray I bought at a...

{March Is Underway}

  Welcome to March! The little grands and I kicked off March with a sleepover at Nana's house. They are so much fun and so energetic. COFFEE has earned my love forever for sure! LOL!  We started out with a sack lunch from Burger King (their favorite) and headed to a cute little park that is only about 2 miles from where I live. The girls has so much fun. The girls put in for Nana to ride the horsey. Well, y'all know I had to show those littles that Nana still can do that!!! Two of the girls wanted to play with the old Halloween wigs but the youngest one opted out. She said it made her head itch. LOL!  We had a tea party for breakfast. Our tea party consisted of smoked sausage, peaches and chocolate chip cookies. Yummy to my tummy the youngest one said! I finally got around to making myself a healthy fruity Icee. I made the girls snow cones out of the same healthy fruits. Guess I needed too so they wouldn't be so hyped up from all the cookies when returning home. Hee-hee!...

{It's Been A Hot Minute Y'all}

  Well, it's not HOT in my neck of the woods in temperature (not today anyway) but it's sure been a HOT minute since I last posted. For that I am so sorry but it seems my life has been consumed with doctor appointments, tests, and MORE tests, biopsies, surgery and so much more. One day at a time sweet Jesus is all that any of us can ask for. Wanted to pop in on this beautiful Sunday afternoon to share a little about what I've been up too.  Marty and I enjoyed a weekend at the beach before I had breast cancer surgery and took advantage of the time I had in between so many doctor appointments and testing. It was sure a good little getaway.  We celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary in September. WOW! Just babies! LOL! We were high school sweethearts. Started dating at age 16. Married at age 18 and started a family at age 20.  We celebrated Marty's birthday in October. He says that he's feeling his age these days. LOL! He still works 4 days a week and has a long commu...
