{March is well under way}

February days are now gone and March has officially kicked in.   I finally purchased a new monthly focus board.  We ventured out for a day date which included a movie. I love our day dates. I will give my honest review about the movie for those interested. I wanted to see this movie as it was based on a true story. I did enjoy the movie but oh my, it was a tear jerker from the get go! It ended good but mercy! Let's just say that I am thankful that no one was sitting close enough to see my tear stained face. I am glad that I saw it but I am good for a while on sad movies, even if they do end good!   My oldest daughter, her husband and their son participated in the Spartan race which is a series of obstacle courses that challenge. They done so well. As you can see from the pictures it gets pretty muddy!  My three daughters participate each year in the Gate River Run. I love it that they do this together. They have so much support & encouragement from all the onlookers. I am just

Isn't this Coleus just beautiful? I have about 4 of these pretties that I started out in just one pot and the next thing I knew I was replanting in different pots.

We had a girls day out this past Friday and I enjoyed our outing so much. Cracker Barrel was first on the list and then shopping.

Nothing like a girls day with your girls. Sure does refresh the soul doesn't it?

I have had this little sign for a few years now and found it at Tractor Supply. I just love it but let me tell y'all something...you can find all kinds of goodies at Tractor Supply. I went in recently to look for some seeds and well, let's just say I came out with more than I went in for!

Now for Pinterest Favs and these Yummy Chewy Brown Sugar Cookies are first on the list!

This recipe is tried and true. YOU CAN'T EAT JUST ONE! These things will melt in your mouth.

The recipe made a large batch so needless to say family and friends were gifted cookies!

Next time I make these I think I will freeze several batches for the holidays.

I've made quite a few recipes in my Instapot and I have enjoyed using mine. I know most people really like to use their instapot when they are pushed for time but I find that I use mine more actually when I have extra free time and not rushing.  This recipe is another tried and true for us.

This is the cutest little Farmhouse craft to do. I have everything I need but now just taking the time to make it is another thing.

Another pinterest find.  Of course I just so happen to have antlers too! Lots of them! Now just talking my man into letting me use some of his antlers hanging in the barn might be an issue.

And for my tea party loving friends isn't this such a great way to share ice cream and cookies? Pretty tea cup and yummy treats!

Y'all it's so hot and humid in my neck of the woods right now that I can't hardly think about a Hot Cocoa Bar but.........I am so in love with this!

I am always looking for little DIY gift ideas and I thought this would be adorable and usable for a group of ladies. My Bible Study ladies come to mind but then what a great idea for teachers, nurses and etc.

I love cute little cupcake liners and this is the best way to keep them all together.

And...No pun intended here on this gift idea but in the current situation we are in...well, not a bad gift idea.

I enjoy browsing on Pinterest. Mercy me I have tons of boards saved and will pin to them and yet never make, bake, or create half of what I save. But, oh I do enjoy the inspiration from others.

I hope that you all have a wonderful and safe week and remember, try to inspire someone this week. Inspiration comes in many different ways......

  4. A few years ago, I attended a presentation by a woman who was in charge of Pinterest in Canada. The only thing I remember about the talk is how the aim of Pinterest is to be aspirational and to be a social media (SM) platform that makes people feel good (unlike the toxicity in other SM platforms).

    I'm salivating over the yummy cookies! I've also served ice cream in teacups, although my presentation isn't as pretty. HA!

    Love the Chapstick gift idea--a punny and functional present! I'm ahead of the curve when it comes to giving hand soap as gifts. Pre-pandemic, I gave out BBW hand soap at party favours at showers and birthday parties.

    2. I know you make lots of cookies too. I normally take a day during to bake holiday goodies for gifts and a day to bake and freeze edibles for the holidays. But, as slow as I seem to be at getting things done these days I might need to take a week. LOL!

    Pamela M. Steiner....I am so SORRY! I deleted this comment by accident but it was still on my email but would not post! But thank you so much for your sweet words! My fingers on my phone hit the wrong button! Mercy!

    And YOU have inspired me! Thank you for reminding me that Pinterest has so many cute ideas. I also have pinned many that I will never use, but I love to go "window shopping" through there ever so often. Also, love the Christmas ideas. I guess it is coming. I hope they won't cancel it too!!! You are greatly blessed!

  18. Looks like a wonderful girls day out. I taught a girls day out paint party yesterday to get moms out of the house and away from the kids for a bit. It was fun. Honey, I thought I loved to bake but you have me beat. I am right now at this point cutting myself off from baking for a bit. I am doing it and then to get it out of the house I have giving it away. Folks are about tired of me dropping sweets for them to eat!!! haha....Although I have been paid to make a cake today for a bday party....reminds me, need to get up and get that going. Later.

Hiding the Ugly Hot Water Heater

 I shared that I wanted to hide my ugly hot water heater in my laundry room with you a few weeks ago. It just stuck out like a sore thumb. But after all it is a hot water heater right? So my man took a piece of wood (not real wood) but it worked and built a frame for me. So now to see if it would fit and it did. I painted it white and did not like the texture it had even after two coats of white. (rule of thumb...you get what you pay for and the wood was cheap) But I wasn't going to let it whip me!  Found some contact paper at Walmart in the gray and white. Covered the front with the contact paper and loved the look. The top was covered with a piece of painted wood as well and worked perfect to place this on top... And this.... Added a clothes basket in the corner and here was the top.... Yep, no longer an eye sore to me! Went perfect with my gray walls and gray and white floor. Remember the wood tray I bought at a yard

{Another Fun Filled Weekend}

I hope you all are doing well. I am trying to wind down for the night and thought I would try and get a post out. Girls, by this time I am in my fat clothes and recliner smashing that remote control!   Marty and I kicked off our weekend by having a little fun food as I call it,  "charcuterie" style out by the pond. Of course I always fix more than we need or eat but it sure was good.  Two of our granddaughters had dance recitals over the weekend so we got to watch them perform and oh my! They were just the cutest things ever.  We were blessed to be able to see them perform. Then we celebrated a birthday for this sweet grandgirl! She was excited about being double digits . And besides all the fun from the weekend I was able to see some of my pretties in bloom.  Now to enjoy a cup of coffee.... I hope that you all have a wonderful, blessed week.  Hugs and blessings, Cindy

{Happy 46th Wedding Anniversary To Us}

  Happy October everyone! I wanted to pop in today and share a few pictures. Marty and I celebrated our 46th wedding anniversary on September 23.  Oh it seems so long ago that we said "I Do". We started dating when I was 16. Married at 18 and began a family at 20. Needless to say we have surely grown up together. Praise the Lord that we are growing "Older" together.  We decided since it had been about 8-9 years since we had been to Savannah, Ga. that we would take a weekend there and just enjoy a scenic luncheon cruise.  We enjoyed walking River street and sightseeing, shopping and eating of course! It was a nice get away and perfect for us as we are simply two imperfect people that fit perfectly together.  I did spot Santa while in Savannah though! YES, I love Christmas so I had to stop at several Christmas shops! We've had outings that have kept us quite busy and we have surely been blessed to be able to attend our grands functions and our little outings toget
